Little Lamb

A friend commissioned me to build and design a sheep fur bench for his new place.  So I had my friend Danny build the wooden base, and I hand sewed 8 sheep hides together to cover it! It ended up being a huge project.  Here are some photos to document the process.

The Making of Tangia- Before and After Photos

In May 2012, I had taken over the project to re-design Tangia, a Moroccan restaurant in Qatar.  Here are some before and after photos showing what the space looked like when I got the job, and what it looked like five months later at its launch in September 2012.

The Making of Tangia- Winning the Time Out Doha M.E.N.A award!

Time Out Doha puts on the restaurant awards each year, and in 2012, Tangia was nominated for best Middle East, North African region food category, AND WON!  It is the second highest honor for gulf countries.   I was actually nervous when they were announcing the winner, my heart skipped a beat when I heard Tangia and we got to walk up to the stage and receive the award. I was leaving Doha soon and this was a great parting gift.

The Wyndham Grand Regency hotel gets the award but I got to pose with it at least!
