Five months of blood sweat and a lot of tears (to be honest), Tangia had its grand opening September 15th, 2012. The Ambassador from Morocco was the appointed ribbon cutter. I had made the ribbon a bit too decadent with a few layers, so he struggled to cut through. There were a few awkward glances being cast my way by the hotels general manager, so I went over to help but he had just finished cutting through on his own thankfully. I was introduced to the ambassador over dinner and he said he felt at home being in the restaurant which was a very kind praise.
